New Announcements and Deadlines

3Ls: Road to Zero: A Strategic Approach to Student Loan Repayment Workshop: February 11, 12:00pm-1:00pm, EDU 1111: This workshop will cover Federal Student Loan Repayment Plan options, provide an overview of the Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) program, discuss loan consolidation, and more. See Nasreen Zia's 2/4 email for more information. RSVP by February 9 at 12:00pm. 

AccessLex Institute: Max Madness: Earn entries into the Max Grand Prize Scholarship by competing in Max Madness. Prizes are six $25,000 scholarships and three $40,000 scholarships. See Nasreen Zia's 2/2 email for AskEDNA and MAX lessons. Entries due by March 31.

Southern California Chinese Lawyers Association Scholarship and Fellowship: These scholarships and fellowships award law students who have demonstrated their commitment to advancing the Chinese American and/or broader Asian Pacific American (APA) community. Scholarships awarded are based on financial need, academic accomplishments, and/or active involvement and/or expected future contribution to the Chinese American and/or APA community. SCCLA Fellowships fund externships at qualifying non-profit organizations or governmental entities. Visit SCCLA's website for more information on the scholarship and the fellowship. Apply by March 20 at 5:00pm.

1Ls: ASP 1L Skills Development Workshop SeriesSee Canvas page for all workshops.

3Ls: Live Scan Fingerprint Consultant: February 12, 12:00pm-1:00pm, MPAA 210: A live scan consultant will be on campus to provide live scan fingerprinting to prepare for Applications for Determination of Moral Character for the California Bar. See Dean Kyle Jones' 1/26 email for more information.

CDO Spring Interview Program Interview Availability: When you submit an application, please add classes or any other conflicts to your calendar in LEO for the scheduled interview date. The CDO will presume you have no conflicts if nothing is entered into your calendar. See Dean Deol's 1/9 email for instructions on how to add conflicts to your calendar.

1Ls: Contact your primary career counselor to pick up a copy of your transcript.  Transcripts will be available in the CDO until Friday, March 13.

1L and 2Ls: 2026 Loyola Chicago Patent Law Interview Program: June 4-5, 2026, Virtual: This two day interview program held each year brings together patent law employers and law students from across the country to interview for summer associate positions and post-graduate employment. Students are not required to be patent bar eligible to register, but many employers require patent bar eligibility to apply for positions. Register by February 27, 2026 at 9:59pm.  

SCHOLARSHIPS & WRITING COMPETITIONS

3Ls: Carrie Menkel-Meadow and Robert Meadow Public Interest Scholarship: Students who intend to pursue a career in public interest law upon graduation and are in good academic standing are invited to apply for this one-time award of up to $10,000. See Nasreen Zia's 1/29 email for application instructions. Apply by Monday, February 9 at 4:00pm.

The College of Labor and Employment Lawyers: 2026 Annual Law Student Writing CompetitionPrizes are $3,000 first place, $1,000 second place, and $500 third place. First place will be a guest at the Annual Induction Dinner for recognition. Complete rules are available here. Submissions due June 14 at 9:00pm.

Copies have been posted on the student bulletin boards within the Law School and pocket/wallet-sized cards are available for pickup in the Student Affairs and Student Services Suite (MPAA 210).  The suite also has red cards available from the Immigrant Legal Resource Center.
