Loan Repayment Assistance Program (LRAP) Info Session: February 25, 12:00pm-1:00pm, MPAA 420: This program helps eligible graduates pay their federal student loans for up to ten years, including undergraduate loans. See Nasreen Zia's 2/19 email for more information. RSVP by February 23 at 12:00pm.

1Ls: There is a new resume collect for a 2027 2L Summer Associate position with Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman. Apply by February 23 at 5:00pm.

American Women Quarters Program: Stacey Park Milbern: March 5, 10:00am-11:00am, Social & Behavioral Sciences Gateway 1517 and Virtual: This event will explore the life and enduring legacy of Stacey Park Milbern, Korean-American activist who was instrumental in the modern Disability Justice movement, the artistic process of designing the coin that honors her, and the American Women Quarters Program. In person space is limited. RSVP for this event

Celtic Bar Association: 3rd Tuesday of each month, 5:30pm-7:30pm, Muldoon's Irish Pub: The CBA brings together members of the legal community who share an interest in Celtic heritage and traditions. You do not need to be of Celtic descent to join. Law students may join at no cost. St. Patrick's Day falls on the third Tuesday this month so the next meeting will take place on March 24. Register to attend the meeting. 

The Other Bar: Supporting Recovery in the Legal Community: 3rd Wednesday of each month, 8:00pm-9:00pm, Virtual: This is a network of recovering lawyers, judges, and law students throughout the state, dedicated to assisting others within the legal profession who are suffering from alcohol and substance abuse problems. GENERAL ANNOUNCEMENTS

1Ls: ASP 1L Skills Development Workshop SeriesSee Canvas page for all workshops.

CDO Spring Interview Program Interview Availability: When you submit an application, please add classes or any other conflicts to your calendar in LEO for the scheduled interview date. The CDO will presume you have no conflicts if nothing is entered into your calendar. See Dean Deol's 1/9 email for instructions on how to add conflicts to your calendar.

1Ls: Contact your primary career counselor to pick up a copy of your transcript.  Transcripts will be available in the CDO until Friday, March 13.

3Ls: Federal Student Loan Exit Counseling Requirement: Federal regulations and UCI School of Law policy require all students who take out federal student loans to complete Federal Student Loan Exit Counseling before graduation. See Nasreen Zia's 2/11 email for details on how to schedule a one-on-one exit counseling session. Exit counseling must be completed by May 7.

UC Irvine Law Review: Submit Notes and Comments: UC Irvine Law Review is soliciting student notes and comments for the upcoming Issues 17.1 & 17.2. See Dr. J's 1/16 email for more information and submission requirements. Submit your note or comment by February 20 at 11:59pm.

1L and 2Ls: 2026 Loyola Chicago Patent Law Interview Program: June 4-5, 2026, Virtual: This two day interview program held each year brings together patent law employers and law students from across the country to interview for summer associate positions and post-graduate employment. Students are not required to be patent bar eligible to register, but many employers require patent bar eligibility to apply for positions. Register by February 27 at 9:59pm.  

1Ls: The Bar Association of San Francisco and Justice and Diversity Center: Bay Area Law Student Career Fair: April 3, 9:00am-4:50pm, Virtual: This career fair brings together prominent law firms and government legal departments in the San Francisco Bay Area to interview students for positions in summer associate programs. Visit the website for student schedule, FAQs, and more. Register for this career fair by March 1 at 11:59pm.

Scholarships & Fellowships for Summer Internships: Outside organizations and bar associations provide funding based on the type of work you are doing during the summer. Examples include:
The ABA Commission on Homelessness & Poverty: 2026 Curtin Justice Fund Legal Internship Program
National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers
Legal Aid Association: Dan Bradley Fellowship
NAPABA Law Foundation: Fred Korematsu

Southern California Chinese Lawyers Association Scholarship and Fellowship: These scholarships and fellowships award law students who have demonstrated their commitment to advancing the Chinese American and/or broader Asian Pacific American (APA) community. Scholarships awarded are based on financial need, academic accomplishments, and/or active involvement and/or expected future contribution to the Chinese American and/or APA community. SCCLA Fellowships fund externships at qualifying non-profit organizations or governmental entities. Visit SCCLA's website for more information on the scholarship and the fellowship. Apply by March 20 at 5:00pm.

AccessLex Institute: Max Madness: Earn entries into the Max Grand Prize Scholarship by competing in Max Madness. Prizes are six $25,000 scholarships and three $40,000 scholarships. See Nasreen Zia's 2/2 email for AskEDNA and MAX lessons. Entries due by March 31.

Copies have been posted on the student bulletin boards within the Law School and pocket/wallet-sized cards are available for pickup in the Student Affairs and Student Services Suite (MPAA 210).  The suite also has red cards available from the Immigrant Legal Resource Center.
