1Ls: 2027 2L Summer Associate Spring Applications: Some Biglaw firms are opening a second application window in May for students to apply after receiving their spring semester grades. The CDO will share a spreadsheet listing these applications in LEO. Look for an announcement on the LEO home page after final exams.
1Ls: Journal of International, Transnational, and Comparative Law Information Session: April 17, 12:00pm-1:00pm, EDU 1111: This session will cover the work, workload, and valuable writing, citation, and leadership opportunities that can strengthen your resume and career prospects. RSVP to attend this event.

Symposium on Secrecy and Transparency in Civil Litigation: May 1-2, Stanford Law School: This symposium will explore the legal, institutional, and normative dimensions of secrecy and transparency in the civil justice system. The symposium is free to law students, and virtual options are available upon registration. Register to attend this event.

The College of Labor and Employment Lawyers: 2026 Annual Law Student Writing Competition: First place receives $3,000, second place receives $1,000, and third place receives $500. First place will be a guest at the Annual Induction Dinner for recognition. Complete rules are available here. Submissions due by June 14 at 9:00pm.

Know Your Rights: Refer to the information in this Know Your Rights guide provided by UCOP for immigrant legal services. Copies have been posted on the student bulletin boards within the Law School and pocket/wallet-sized cards are available for pickup in the Student Affairs and Student Services Suite (MPAA 210). The suite also has red cards available from the Immigrant Legal Resource Center.
