Meet Star:
Hello! My name is Star. I am a first-generation law student and proud Double Anteater. I graduated cum laude from UC Irvine with a double major in Psychological Science and Criminology, Law & Society. While at UC Irvine, I worked at the Disneyland Resort as a Lead in the Candy Production department.
My decision to attend UC Irvine Law was twofold. First, as someone without family, friends, or connections in the legal field, navigating the admissions process was especially challenging. After taking a campus tour in 2023, I was struck by the warmth and inclusivity of the UC Irvine Law community, which ultimately motivated me to apply through the Early Decision Program. Second, as a student with no prior experience in the legal field, I was drawn to UC Irvine Law’s robust pro bono program. The opportunity to engage in pro bono work during my first year was particularly meaningful and has allowed me to participate in substantive and impactful legal work.
