Meet Miracle:
Hey there! I'm Miracle Orji, a new Admissions Ambassador and a current 2L at UC Irvine Law. While I have fantastic things to share about UC Irvine Law, my true passion lies in assisting incoming students as they consider the factors most important to them. I want to highlight the collaborative, welcoming, and justice-oriented atmosphere that defines UC Irvine Law.
A bit about me: I'm a first-generation law student and the only child of two Nigerian immigrants. Born in Baton Rouge, LA, I grew up in Portland, OR, and studied Chemistry at Seattle University, making me a true West Coast enthusiast. Before entering law school, I earned a Masters of Public Health in Houston, TX, and spent a few years working in San Diego, CA. My interests revolve around the intersection of population health, life sciences, technology, and the law. If any of that resonates with you, feel free to connect with me!
Jumping into my law school journey at UC Irvine Law, I've been fortunate to be part of a fantastic community of peers and inspiring professors who prioritize intellectually stimulating their students and fostering critical thinking. Contracts with Professor Leslie has been my favorite class so far, and I also serve as a 1L rep for the Black Law Student Association and our school's Student Bar Association. UC Irvine Law places an early emphasis on pro bono work, and I've participated in Saturday Academy, the Tijuana Deportee Project, and am currently involved in the Expungement Clinic and the Asian Americans Advancing Justice Low Income CNA project.
Beyond my academic pursuits, you'll find me salsa/bachata/swing dancing in OC, crocheting with friends, or indulging in reality TV. I believe in a well-rounded lifestyle and am eager to connect with future law students who share diverse interests and backgrounds.
Come join me in exploring the incredible opportunities UC Irvine Law has to offer, where passion meets purpose. We're not just studying law; we're shaping its future. I'm looking forward to meeting you and being part of your journey into the world of law!
