Q: How did UC Irvine Law prepare you for your legal practice?
At UC Irvine Law, students were strongly encouraged to engage in pro bono activities and clinics, which allowed me to work directly with real clients. This hands-on experience was invaluable, as it goes beyond understanding cases and statutes, offering a vital glimpse into the practical aspects of legal practice.
Q: What do you like best about your work?
I currently represent employers in a range of employment and wage-and-hour lawsuits, and I offer strategic guidance on managing their businesses while minimizing legal risks. Navigating California's employee-friendly laws can be challenging for employers, and I take great satisfaction in guiding them through this complex process.
Q: What was the best part about being a student at UCI Law?
I firmly believe that our deep-rooted commitment to community service distinguishes us from other law schools. UC Irvine Law instilled in me a dedication to serving the underserved community, enhancing both my practice as an attorney and my overall fulfillment in the legal profession. Additionally, I am deeply grateful for the friendships I've forged during law school and am so proud of our collective achievements.
Q: How do you stay involved with the UC Irvine Law community?
I currently stay involved by volunteering my time with moot court and making myself available to any UCI Law students who are seeking mentorship.
Q: What are you most looking forward to at UC Irvine Law’s Reunion on September 14?
I can’t wait to see everyone again to celebrate our current successes while reminiscing of our time in law school.
