First Generation Professionals Program
A first-generation (first-gen) student is a law student who is the first in their family to pursue graduate school and/or college. First-generation may also refer to students who are the first in their families, however that may be ascribed, to pursue an education in the United States.
The mission of the First Generation Professionals (FGP) is to foster an inclusive community that supports first-generation, economically underrepresented, and/or non-traditional law students as well as their support networks. In furtherance of these goals, FGP coordinates mentoring, networking, and social events. FGP welcomes individuals from all backgrounds to participate in its activities.
