Media Advisory: UC Irvine School of Law Presents Lecture by Charles Ogletree Jr. on Post-Racial America
IRVINE, Calif. — UC Irvine School of Law will present a lecture on politics and race in America by Charles Ogletree Jr., founder of Harvard Law School's Houston Institute for Race and Justice.
WHAT: Ogletree will deliver the annual Al Meyerhoff Public Interest Lecture on “President Obama's Election and Pursuit of a Post-Racial America.” UCI Law's Al Meyerhoff Public Interest Lecture is an annual lecture series that commemorates the late Al Meyerhoff, a renowned labor, environmental and civil rights lawyer.
WHEN: Wednesday, Feb. 15, 2012, 4:00 to 5:00 p.m., with reception to follow.

WHO: Charles Ogletree Jr. is considered one of the most tenacious and successful trial lawyers in the United States. He is the Jesse Climenko Professor of Law at Harvard University, and is a passionate advocate of a defendant's right to a fair trial within the American justice system.
