Media Advisory: UCI Law Presents Public Interest Law Fund 5K Race Judicata Oct. 26
WHAT: University of California, Irvine School of Law presents the Public Interest Law Fund (PILF) 5K Race Judicata. Funds raised at this annual family-friendly fun run/walk provide stipends for UCI Law students who accept non-paying, full-time public interest law summer jobs at organizations that provide legal services to underrepresented communities.
WHEN: Sunday, Oct. 26, 2014; check-in starts at 8:30 a.m., and the race begins at 10 a.m.
WHERE: The race starts at Anteater Plaza on UCI Ring Road, near Langson Library (bldg. #102 on the campus map). Paid parking is available at the Student Center Parking Structure (corner of W. Peltason and Pereira).
WHY: The UC Irvine Public Interest Law Fund provides financial support to UCI Law students working to address gaps in our justice system and to assist those with the greatest need in our community. Read more about the fund and the 5K Race Judicata on the PILF informational page and Facebook page.
