UCI Law Video: Race and Policing Symposium
Repeated instances of police violence against people of color raise serious questions about the impact of race on policing. This symposium brought together leading scholars and innovative practitioners to define the problem, identify challenges, and discuss possible solutions to this persistent issue. UCI Law Dean Erwin Chemerinsky and Professors Mario Barnes, Jennifer Chacón, Michele Goodwin, Kaaryn Gustafson and Henry Weinstein helped plan and lead the full day of discussion that also included keynote speakers LAPD Chief Charlie Beck, Judge Shira Scheindlin and Professor Wesley G. Skogan. Event details >
