Externships & Pro Bono
The Externship Program provides students with academic credit for supervised, real-world legal experience in a variety of professional settings, including judicial chambers, government agencies, and public interest legal organizations. Through these externships, students work alongside practicing attorneys and judges, develop professional competencies, and gain insight into the day-to-day practice of law.
The Michael G. Ermer Pro Bono Program is a key component of UC Irvine Law’s commitment to public service, which students can engage in as soon as their first semester of law school. Students provide legal assistance to underserved populations while gaining valuable hands-on experience.
