2014-2015 PILF Grand Prix
UCI Law’s Public Interest Law Fund is beginning a new tradition with its 2014-2015 fundraising campaign: We are hosting a PILF Grand Prix!
What is the PILF Grand Prix?
From October 2014 to March 2015, students, faculty, alumni, staff and community friends of UCI Law will participate in teams to raise money to fund summer work by UCI Law students at unpaid public interest jobs.
There will be two “tracks” of competition: an external track for local law firms and businesses, and an internal track for faculty, staff, students, and alumni. Teams in each track will race against each other by completing “laps.” Teams complete laps by donating to fund summer stipends, or by participating in Special Events throughout the campaign, beginning with our 5K on Oct. 26, 2014.
In the Business and Firm track, the goal is to complete the most laps. A $300 donation moves the car one lap. The team that completes the most laps by March 20, 2015 wins the race, bragging rights, broad recognition, and fame and glory.
